I took my 8 week old kitten in due to stomach issues. Everyone there was extremely polite and caring. I did not have to wait long despite how busy they were. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

My dog was injured on a weekend when I had plans that I was unable to cancel. I called to see if they could see him on my way through Knoxville. They were pleasant on the phone and in the office. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for both of us and appeared to be for the others in the clinic. Uplifting, comforting, caring environment.Highly recommend to anyone living in the area... or passing through. Read Less

There is no doubt your animals are in good hands at Central. I had a kitten that had a rare parasite. And the whole staff was so patient with me. They listened to ALL my questions. They got the medication specially ordered. In other words as stressful as that time was —-they made it as easy as they could for me. So a year later Strudel my cat is doing very well! Dr. Martin is an excellent Vet. He is so kind and compassionate just the kind of person you want with your animals. But all the Vets are great! It’s a great opportunity for me to show how grateful I am to have them taking care of my animals. Read Less

I brought my Savannah cat in because he was scratching and licking himself bald. One of the vets there found he had no intestinal parasites, no fleas, ticks, etc., which I already knew. He's never been outside. They charged me $380.00 for a 20 minute "look over", skin scraping, and found nothing. They dropped the ball. Nothing ever came from that and he's still doing the same. The next Savannah kitten I bought two years later went in for a minor surgery and Keele had no clue if he had his pain meds or if he had eaten or had been drinking after his surgery. He said he did, but that was a lie. When I got him home, he was dehydrated, and starved. He was in so much pain that he cried until I gave him the meds they had sent me home with. I don't appreciate being lied to. Also, my daughter's cat recently had a dental procedure done there and her cat has never been the same. She'll never go back and neither will I. If you love you pets, DO NOT TRUST THESE VETS! They don't care about your animal, they care about money!!!!l Read Less

I'm new to the area and haven't established a vet yet. My 16 year old beagle became very ill and she needed help ASAP. A friend had referred us to Central Valley and I couldn't not have been more grateful. They were absolutely amazing and even tho our visit was very scary the staff eased our fears and made us as comfortable as possible. Our vet was Dr. Dustin Patterson and he was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and sympathetic to our plight. Our dog was treated with the utmost care and respect....you can really tell they care about their patients. I was beyond satisfied with the care we received and without a doubt this will be our permanent vet, even though it is a half hour drive. My family will highly recommend Central Valley to anyone who wants phenomenal care for their fur babies. Read Less

I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars. Central Vet has taken care of my animals since I moved to Knoxville, and I can't imagine finding a better group of people. My pups love going to the vet because they know they're going to be loved on and made comfortable. I recently had to put one of my dogs down after a very long and emotional illness, and everyone from the vets to the office staff made the experience as painless as possible. They know me and my pets by name, and treat us both with care and respect. I can't recommend them higher. Read Less

Great staff and friendly environment. I brought my 2 cats in for a check up and was in and out in 30 minutes. Doctor and nurses were great in getting me in a room quickly. The only reason I put 4 stars is b/c while I brought both cats at the same time, I was charged for 2 visits ($40 I think each?) which is not really fair since they were seen at the same time. Central Veterinary Hospital is a place where you can be confident in the treatment of your pet. Everyone you speak with is truly interested in you and your pet. One of the most important things is that costs are fully explained and options are presented for treatment. Charges are reasonable. Communication with the doctors and office staff is tops. I really wish my own personal doctor's office valued communication as well as my pets' doctors. CVH actually sends messages from the doctor by email if you prefer. The drive to downtown Knoxville is not a problem and there is plenty of free parking. Give this business a try. You will not regret it. Read Less

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY! I had my dog go get a neuter here. Dr. Wesley Keele and his assistant messed up, telling me his assistant switched the oxygen with the anesthetic after the neuter. This caused my dog to go into a coma and brain dead. They schedule an appointment at the UT Vet to see a neurologist and just as soon as the dog is transported there, they said they were not longer responsible for Blayze. I GAVE THE CLINIC A 100% 7 MONTH OLD BOXER PUP AND CAME OUT WITH A BRAIN DEAD DOG. They then try to switch up the story saying something happened to him under the anesthesia, when the doctor literally told me his assistant dropped the ball. On top of everything, I had to pay out of pocket to the UT Vet for the Clinic's fault. THIS CLINIC AND ITS STAFF ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY AND CLEANING THEIR HANDS WITH A MISTAKE. NOW I AM LEFT WITH A DEAD DOG!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE, I PROMISE. Read Less
